When it comes down to naming the big powerhouses in the internet market, few hold the pedigree of Xfinity Internet and Windstream Internet. Though there are some similarities between the two, we still see that Windstream offers slightly better internet plans with no data caps. To address this issue properly, refer to the table below:

Data Caps

Data caps are the amount of data that a user may use or utilize to download anything from the internet or to stream any particular material via the internet. Data caps tend to be quite high when it comes to all the big or widely accessible internet service providers, however, there are a few service providers that offer the bare minimum when it comes to data caps. If you’re wondering what’s the worst that could become of having low amounts of data to use, well then, when it comes down to exceeding your data cap, the internet service provider would happily charge you an overhead fee for exceeding that limit.

Xfinity Internet and Data Caps

When you look at and assess Xfinity internet for all of its internet plans and packages, you get to see that the service provider has a data cap of 1 TB a month in place for the majority of its internet connections. The plans that Xfinity has on offer that do indeed have unlimited data download are the highest internet speed plans from the internet service provider, the Xfinity Gigabit, and Xfinity Gigabit Pro internet plans. In the scenario where a customer somehow manages to overcome the 1 TB per month data cap, then he or she would have to pay an additional $10.00 for each amount of data until the 50 GB mark, which can only go as high as the $200 mark.

Windstream Internet and Data Caps

Here is where, in our humble opinion, Windstream Internet could steal away a major chunk of consumer quantity from Xfinity internet. Windstream internet proudly boasts no such internet plan or bundle that has a data cap on it. This means that customers of Windstream internet would have access to completely unlimited internet throughout the month. As would be the case that all Windstream internet users who would have feared crossing their data limits and paying overhead charges would or could rest assured that they would not be charged extra for their usage.

To Conclude

Getting an internet service provider to provide you an internet connection is the easy part, however, getting an internet service provider to give you constant and quite rightly amazing customer satisfaction is a completely different thing.

Making a decision regarding which internet service provider to pursue i.e. get for your household is never an easy task. However, what you could do is that you weigh in all the factors that you want or prefer to be in an internet connection according to preference and then decide on which internet service provider you would like to have working for you.

If you are looking for an internet service provider that offers unlimited data caps to their consumers, then you might as well go ahead and get Windstream internet for your household. However, if you are perfectly fine with having a data cap and you don’t mind the consistent burden of overdoing your limit, then maybe Xfinity would be the best option for you to get.

Similarly, if you would prefer to pay a higher price and not be involved in having to commit to a contract, then there is a good news for you. As both Windstream Internet and Xfinity Internet have the same plans but for different prices with regard to the conditions i.e. 200 Mbps of internet download speed plan would cost slightly less if you opt to sign a contract and similarly would be of a higher cost if you do not wish to sign a contract.
